Conscious Eating During the Holidays
We know that overloading on sugary treats and processed finger foods is harmful to our health. It can lead to fatigue, brain fog, and weight gain during a time that’s meant to be joyful and upbeat. The holiday season is in full swing, which means parties and gatherings with an array of food choices. The good news is that there are definitely ways to keep the holiday season healthy while still taking part in the festivities and having fun!
You don’t have to be “perfect” with your eating to stay healthy during the holidays, but putting in a little extra effort can make sure you feel energetic and excited during this busy time! We suggest using an 80/20 intention. Eat nutritious supportive food 80% of the time and especially during the holidays allow yourself 20% of enjoyment and flexibility. Don’t show up hungry at a party, bring your own more nutritious treat if you are able, and if you’re going to indulge – ENJOY IT FULLY! If you judge yourself and what you’ve done – that emotion and energy in your body is far worse than the food you’ve eaten. Be kind to yourself – you deserve it!!

Celebrate Prana Pumpkin Soup:
Healthy, Yummy & Quick!
We get all the ingredients from Trader Joe’s or a local market.
- 2 cans organic pumpkin, squash or sweet potato
- 1 can organic coconut cream
- 4-5 cups organic vegetable broth
- 1/2 – 1 cup cashew butter or almond butter
Mix all ingredients together and heat. Add curry powder & pepper to taste. YUM!! 😋
